During my recent trip to Japan, I had the pleasure of finding what is now one of my favourite fragrances, I am talking about “Smoked Leather” by Shiro. This is a clean, mysterious, and brilliant fragrant. Since I got it I have wanted to wear it every day, It is magical.
On the top notes, we have nutmegs and ginger, on the middle notes, cashmere and amber, and the base notes, vetiver and kyara incense. And there is the magic part, the base; this clean and mysterious oxymoron. This fragrance is serious and versatile, but always serious—a strong personality.
The packaging and bottle are quite minimalist. Transparent bottle with the brand and name printed on top, and a black cap. That is all, we do not need more, the content is an elixir. A part of the fragrance reminds me of “Palo Santo”, with a soft sweetness and freshness. Furthermore, this elixir is covered by a clean dusty feeling.
